Description

In the 1850s two British officers, Captain Richard Burton (Patrick Bergin, Patriot Games) and Lt. John Speke (Iain Glen, Game of Thrones) set out on a spectacular adventure to discover the source of the Nile. They are warned that great dangers await them, but against all odds they push on deeper and deeper into the magnificent, untamed African wilderness, where no Western man had ever gone before. Directed with epic scope by the great Bob Rafelson (Five Easy Pieces) and with lush cinematography by the peerless Roger Deakins (No Country for Old Men), Mountains of the Moon is an unforgettable journey into the unknown.
